Dr. Branch is a tenured professor of medicine and the former clinical chief of gastroenterology for Duke Health and Medical Director of Endoscopy at Duke University Medical Center. He is a recipient of the Tow Humanism and Duke School of Medicine Master Clinician awards. He has served as the president of the North Carolina Society of Gastroenterology, as well as 91ÊÓƵcommittees and faculty of national and international courses. Dr. Branch has been a member of the 91ÊÓƵsince 1993. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, his internal medicine residency from the University of Texas Southwestern (Parkland Hospital) and his GI fellowship and advanced endoscopy training at Duke University Medical Center.
Dr. Branch’s interests have centered on ERCP and advanced endoscopy, biliary and pancreatic diseases and the development of clinical programs at Duke and training in endoscopy. He has authored over 100 publications. Dr. Branch has trained multiple fellows at the domestic and international levels in general and advanced endoscopy.
